Wayfield
A proof-of-delivery system for a drayage carrier. Drivers capture the delivery on a tablet at the door and the record is sealed there, rather than travelling back to the office on a paper slip that can go missing.

the problem
Proof of delivery lived on paper. Slips went missing between the truck and the office, and when a customer disputed a delivery, finding the right paperwork took days if it turned up at all. Every lost slip was a delivery the company could not prove it made.
what I built
A driver writes the delivery up at the door and it is finished there.
- Mobile proof-of-delivery capture, signatures and photographs
- Document storage, so a record is filed rather than carried
- Delivery search, so the office pulls up any delivery in seconds
- A driver workflow that refuses to seal an incomplete record
- Office-side access to everything a driver has sealed

In pilot with a drayage carrier in British Columbia. Seventeen drivers are set up on it.

The next part of Wayfield, still being built. Dispatch looks like judgment and is mostly repetition, so the dispatch side is meant to assign loads to drivers automatically and hand back only the parts that are actually a decision. Nothing of it is in production yet.
